Feature-Rich Solution Leverages Cutting-Edge Technology to Simplify Field Trips
Albany, NY - November 9, 2007 - VersaTrans Solutions is pleased to announce the debut of its new field trip request and fulfillment software solution, VersaTrans TripTracker 9.9. Its web-based design enables users to access the system to submit, review, approve, process, and bill activity trip requests from anywhere they can access the Internet.
The solution is centered around customization and flexibility. "The field trip request and fulfillment process differs slightly from customer to customer," explains VersaTrans Solutions Vice President of Sales, Ted Thien. "VersaTrans TripTracker 9.9 enables customers to configure the automation to match their approval process. They can specify as many approval levels and as many approvers at each level as needed."
In addition to its flexible design, the solution offers many key features including automated e-mail notification when requests are submitted, approved, cancelled, declined, fulfilled, and billed. It also enables users to automatically assign drivers to trips based on customer-defined criteria such as seniority, refusals, availability, and more.
A transportation department calendar allows requestors and transportation department personnel to easily identify potential conflicts and prepare for trips coming up on a given day or week. Another key feature is the ability to manage multi-destination trips, which can be a challenge to administer.
The solution also offers optional integration with VersaTrans' flagship routing and planning solution, VersaTrans RP to reduce redundant data entry. For those customers who do not use VersaTrans RP as their routing solution, data uploads allow automated update of vehicle, driver, certification, and building data.
